In September 2009, Ideal Jacobs took over operations of the Alcatel-Lucent Industrial Design Model Shop. This transfer was an effort to help Alcatel-Lucent cut costs while still providing the same products and services to their customers. The model shop is currently located at the Murray Hill, NJ campus of Alcatel-Lucent and offers the following services:

• PC Boards - Limited Run Engineering Models
• P0-P1 Limited Prototypes
• Custom Plastic Fabrication
• Trade Show Models
